Dan Brown's inferno review

ISBN:-0385537859 (ISBN13: 9780385537858)
edition language English
original title Inferno (Robert Langdon, #4)
series Robert Langdon #4
characters Robert Langdon , Sienna Brooks
Setting:-İstanbul (Turkey)
Florence (Italy)

My review and synopsis:-

Lately I got my hands on inferno by Dan Brown
Like previous novels it is based on one of the master piece this time Dante's inferno
Novel starts with someone jumping to his death and we saw Robert waking up in a hospital and suffering from amnesia and he doesn't know what he is doing in Florence and how he got there and then the adventure starts from Florence to Venice and then in the Istanbul
As always there are symbols with deceiving hints there are too much twists in the novel I think more than from the previous novels I won't disclose the plot more because I don't want to spoil the suspense of the novel
As far as characterisation is concerned there is justice done but there are only two main characters
Other characters have only small roles but justifying
On literary level it doesn't have much to offer it simply is just an adventure level but as I'm a fan of the series I love the novel it keeps ne busy with it's twists after every few pages
I'll give the novel 4 out 5 but honestly this novel is for only the fan of this series if you're looking for some literary work then don't bother yourself by reading it

Review of perfect scoundrels by Ally Carter

Book name : Perfect scoundrels
Author : Ally Carter
Publisher : Hyperion
Genre : young adult,heist,crime thriller
Published on 5th February 2013
Synopsis :-
Katarina Bishop and W.W. Hale the fifth
were born to lead completely different lives:
Kat comes from a long, proud line of
loveable criminal masterminds, while Hale
is the scion of one of the most seemingly
perfect dynasties in the world. If their
families have one thing in common, it's that
they both know how to stay under the
radar while getting-or stealing-whatever
they want. No matter the risk, the Bishops
can always be counted on, but in Hale's
family, all bets are off when money is on
the line. When Hale unexpectedly inherits
his grandmother's billion dollar
corporation, he quickly learns that there's
no place for Kat and their old heists in his
new role. But Kat won't let him go that
easily, especially after she gets tipped off
that his grandmother's will might have
been altered in an elaborate con to steal the
company's fortune. So instead of being the
heir-this time, Hale might be the mark.
Forced to keep a level head as she and her
crew fight for one of their own, Kat comes
up with an ambitious and far-reaching plan
that only the Bishop family would dare
attempt. To pull it off, Kat is prepared to do
the impossible, but first, she has to decide if
she's willing to save her boyfriend's
company if it means losing the boy. Review:-
This the third novel in heist society series in this novel we saw Katarina bishop trying to save her boyfriend's life or indirectly her own life the new entry in the heist society is not that page turner like the previous novels in the series specifically the first one
I saw novel's plot out of line she is trying to caught the villain but he knows all about her and her family so there's not much in which we can say is heist
There isn't a single word about Romani in the novel but I think we all know who is Romani
But the climax is a little unexpected
Gabrielle's mother is the surprise package but uncle Eddie and Charlie's role are pivotal
Well I'll  give it 4 out 5 stars not much
My favourite was the first one only when they rob Henley
So all in all I can say you can try out this novel if you're Katarina bishop's fan
Warning:- this review is a little out of date as novel is released 3 months ago

Dan Brown's Inferno tops charts despite scathing reviews

Bestselling writer Dan Brown has
unleashed his latest page turner as
eager fans made Inferno an instant
chart-topper.
The writer, whose sales have already
exceeded 200 million with his previous
novels, has published his latest thriller
starring Harvard professor Robert
Langdon.
But despite a history of strong sales, his
new adventure has once again come
under fire for the novelist's literary
abilities, with one reviewer calling it his
worst book yet.
Brown's new work sees Langdon in a
number of Italian cities, and other
European locations, as he tries to stop
the spread of a deadly virus.
It managed to top the Amazon book
sales chart on the strength of its pre-
orders, which were 24 per cent higher
than those for his previous book The
Lost Symbol which was published in
2009.
Many had bought digital versions of the
book which were delivered to e-readers
such as Kindles at midnight on Monday
when the book officially went on sale.
It went on sale in Australian bookstores
on Tuesday.
Amazon said interest in the new book
has had a knock-on effect for Brown's
back catalogue, with sales for his books
rising by 340 per cent year on year as
anticipation has grown.
The audiobook version of Inferno -
which takes themes from Dante's Divine
comedy - also topped the iTunes
audiobook chart on Tuesday for a
version which weighs in at more than 17
hours.
Although reviewers were in no doubt
that readers will lap the book up, they
were scathing about the writing on
show.
Jake Kerridge in Britain's Daily Telegraph
said: "As a stylist, Brown gets better and
better: where once he was abysmal, he
is now just very poor."
And he added: "In the end this is his
worst book and for a sad, even noble
reason - his ambition here wildly
exceeds his ability."
The Daily Mail called it "bilge, but one
hell of a page turner".
The Guardian said the book was
"engineered with miraculous efficiency,
a tasty cocktail of high culture and low
thrills".
